Purdue coordinated dietetics program
All competencies must be completed with at least a satisfactory level of proficiency. Students successfully meeting all CPD requirements will receive a verification statement post-graduation and are eligible to sit for the national exam for dietitian nutritionists. Meets the pre-professional experience requirements for Dietitian Licensure in Indiana. In most states, graduates must obtain licensure or certification to practice.
It is ACEND's considered opinion that the program is designed to and does meet all state dietetics licensure and certification laws. Potential Areas of Employment Clinical Dietitian in a health care facility Foodservice management Clinical nutrition management Community nutrition and public health programs Sports nutrition Corporate wellness Telehealth Industry food, pharmaceuticals, etc. Supervised Practice NUTR Laboratory in Community Nutrition Application of previous knowledge and communication skills in nutrition of community settings, such as school nutrition, health facilities, and federal or state nutrition programs.
Responsibilities may include communication skills and tasks equivalent to supervising foodservice operations. Program Goals and Objectives The program has two broad goals and specific objectives tied to each goal.
Of graduates who seek employment, 80 percent are employed in nutrition and dietetics or related fields within 12 months of graduation.
